Summary
Results of the PROMISE trial demonstrated that anatomic testing with computed tomographic angiography in symptomatic patients with suspected coronary artery disease did not improve clinical outcomes when compared with functional testing. The economic substudy also revealed that there was no significant difference in cumulative health care costs between testing strategies.
