AB  - Early intervention is critical for stroke care. The physiological and neuroprotective prowess of magnesium has been amply demonstrated in animal models of stroke. Magnesium sulfate administered to patients <2 hours after stroke fails to provide neuroprotection, according to the primary findings of the Field Administration of Stroke Therapy—Magnesium [FAST-MAG] trial.
