AB  - A dual agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) did not reduce adverse cardiovascular outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Findings from the Phase 3, multinational, AleCardio study [Lincoff AM et al. JAMA 2014] are discussed in this article.
