AB  - Ankle fractures are common injuries that result in pain, swelling, and, often, the need to take narcotic pain medication. The prospective randomized Aspiration for Pain Relief Following Ankle Fracture trial [NCT01484535], as discussed in this article, was conducted to assess the impact of aspiration of ankle fracture hemarthrosis on pain relief and need for pain medication.
