AB  - BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations are clearly associated with an increased risk of breast cancer; increased screening and surgery are important for management, but the role of chemoprevention is unclear. Other genes contribute to breast cancer risk, although most remain unidentified. Enrollment of patients into screening and prevention trials is needed to advance the field.
