Metabolism 2007]. It is commonly thought that oversupply of FFA is a major contributor to the development of insulin resistance in obesity. This article discusses the known molecular mechanisms for the phenomenon of insulin resistance in adipose tissue and challenged the notion of oversupply of FFA in obesity.
