Summary

Multiple sclerosis (MS) commonly occurs in women of childbearing age. Although MS itself has not been shown to increase the risk of spontaneous abortion or congenital defects, the use of disease-modifying therapy (DMT) during pregnancy is controversial. This article debates the use of DMTs during pregnancy.
