Results from the PARTNER Trial (Cohort A): Transfemoral TAVI Economically Attractive but Transapical TAVI More Costly

Summary

The Cost Effectiveness of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Compared with Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement in Patients with Severe Aortic Stenosis: Results from The PARTNER Trial (Cohort A) study [NCT00530894; Leon MB et al. N Engl J Med 2010] compared transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) with surgical aortic valve replacement in patients with high operative risk from cohort A of the PARTNER trial.
