Summary
Ticagrelor significantly reduced the risk of cardiovascular events and death without increasing major bleeding compared with clopidogrel in patients with acute coronary syndrome, according to findings from the Study of Platelet Inhibition and Patient Outcomes [PLATO; NCT00391872].
