Percutaneous coronary intervention with Taxus (paclitaxel-eluting) stenting was inferior to coronary artery bypass graft with respect to the primary composite of death, stroke, myocardial infarction, or repeat revascularization among patients with left main or 3-vessel coronary artery disease, as reported by researchers from the international SYNergy between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with TAXus and Cardiac Surgery [SYNTAX; NCT00114972] trial.
