AB This article describes the six risk conditions associated with the metabolic syndrome, and their appropriate interventions, including: abdominal obesity, atherogenic dyslipidemia, elevated blood pressure, insulin resistance/glucose intolerance, proinflammatory states, and prothrombotic states.
