AB In 2006, news of increased late thromboses with drug-eluting stents compared with bare metal stents caused great concern among the medical community worldwide. Since then, experts in the field, including the United States Food and Drug Association, have scrutinized the data and have made recommendations for delivering the safest and most efficacious percutaneous coronary intervention.
