Kass, MD, Division of Cardiology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Kass noted that all rhythm disturbances create electrical “dissonance” in electrical activation and mechanical contraction between and/or within ventricles, reducing pump efficiency and lowering ejection fraction.
