Summary
Musculoskeletal infections are on the rise, and physicians need to recognize the patterns of variability to accurately diagnose and treat. Including magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnostic workup can help understand the full extent of a patient’s infectious disease. Proposed scoring systems can also help predict severe disease.
