AB  - Treatment of acute grade III acromioclavicular joint dislocation with hook plate fixation or conservative management with a sling resulted in similar clinical outcomes at 12 months. Although most surgically treated acromioclavicular joints were reduced at 12 months, there were high complication and reoperation rates.
