AB  - Little is known about whether patients who undergo total ankle arthroplasty or ankle arthrodesis can recover the ability to navigate stairs or uneven surfaces. At 12 months postoperatively, both groups had improved performances on these measures. However, those who underwent total ankle arthroplasty were significantly improved compared with the other group.
