AB Among the controvertible aspects in the use of implantable cardioverter defibrillators to terminate arrhythmias are the risks of inappropriate and appropriate shocks, the apparent enhanced risks of dual-coil over single-coil lead designs, and arguments for and against defibrillator threshold testing at the time of implantation.
