AB  - Patients with atrial fibrillation are at increased risk of stroke, and the addition of a single risk factor indicates a need for prophylaxis with warfarin or a non-VKA oral anticoagulant. Left atrial appendage occlusion is a potential alternative if long-term anticoagulation is contraindicated.
