Neurology 2000]. Treatment is important because tremor can cause disability or social embarrassment, and many patients change jobs or retire as a result of essential tremor. This article discusses the medical therapy of essential tremor, the use of invasive and experimental therapies for the treatment of essential tremor, and management of rare tremors.
