AB  - The shifting demographics, burden, and presentation of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) suggest that the associated costs and societal burden will increase during the next 20 to 30 years, according to data. Also discussed is the nomenclature of the classification and diagnosis of diabetes, as well as data indicating that genes and antibodies can be used for the enhanced prediction of T1DM.
