AB  - Perioperative beta-blockade for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) who are undergoing carotid endarterectomy (CEA) appeared to prevent cardiac damage, resulting in a low mortality rate and no stroke events. This article presents data from a study evaluating the role of beta-blockage in asymptomatic cardiac damage in patients with CAD undergoing CEA.
