This article presents the results of the Preventive Angioplasty in Acute Myocardial Infarction trial [PRAMI; Wald DS et al. N Engl J Med 2013], which was designed to determine whether performing preventive PCI in nonculprit vessels at the same time as primary PCI would reduce the combined incidence of death from cardiac causes, nonfatal myocardial infarction, or refractory angina.
