This article discusses sex differences in risk factors for the development and assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD). Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors are similar for men and women; however, the prevalence of these risk factors differs between the sexes. Hypertension is more common in women aged >?65 years.
