EuroIntervention. 2012]. The Claret Montage dual-filter Cerebral Protection System was developed to protect the brain from injury caused by embolic debris. The Claret Embolic Protection and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Trial [CLEAN-TAVI; NCT01833052] evaluated the impact of the use of this filter on the number of cerebral lesions in high-risk, aortic stenosis patients undergoing TAVR using the Medtronic CoreValve.
