Summary

Different types of cancer have distinct DNA methylation profiles, and analyses of tumor samples have found that multiple genetic and epigenetic changes are associated with breast cancer. As some epigenetic changes may be reversible, administering epigenetic agents with other therapies may be potent combinations in the treatment of breast cancer.
