AB Molecular research over the past 25 years has yielded a wealth of data on the molecular and genetic features of von Willebrand disease. This article discusses the translation of this molecular knowledge into practical aspects of clinical diagnosis and treatment of this bleeding disorder. Also discussed is the future of coagulation factor replacement therapy for hemophilia.
