But, the risks and benefits of these drugs should be carefully considered, as their benefits may outweigh an increased risk of diabetes. This article discusses thiazide-induced dysglycemia, the association of statins with new-onset diabetes, the relationship between diabetes and mental illness, and strategies to prevent drug-induced dysglycemia.
