Summary
This article discusses the exploration of the therapeutic potential of stimulating angiogenesis via circulating endothelial precursors and endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs). It is possible that EPCs may prevent vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage, stimulate formation of collateral vessels, and inhibit thrombosis and restenosis.
