Summary

This article reports the findings of the Brief Infusion of Eptifibatide Following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention [BRIEF-PCI] trial. This trial explored whether the infusion of eptifibatide after uncomplicated percutaneous intervention with stenting could be safely shortened to <2 hours without increasing the risk of ischemic events and with the potential benefit of lowering the risk of major bleeding.
