AB  - Catheter ablation increasingly is being used to manage patients with atrial fibrillation. Symptomatic patients should be considered for ablation soon after antiarrhythmics have been unsuccessful. Patients should continue anticoagulation for 3 months following the procedure and should undergo postprocedure follow-up as suggested by published guidelines.
