Dear Colleagues,
The American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) is pleased to present the official peer-reviewed highlights from Clinical Nutrition Week (CNW) 2015, February 14 to 17, Long Beach, California. Hosted by A.S.P.E.N., an interdisciplinary organization whose members are involved in the provision of clinical nutrition therapies, CNW attracts well-recognized scientists, dietitians, nurses, physicians, and pharmacists who contribute to scientific exchange of the highest level. The growing international attendance confirms the relevance of CNW within the worldwide scientific and nutrition community.
Some of the research studies presented at CNW were simultaneously published in academic literature, but other studies may not be published until a future date, or at all. To bridge the gap between CNW and publication of these studies, we have partnered with MD Conference Express® to provide you with data that may impact your practice today, long before the materials may be published in academic literature.
Scientific leadership for CNW identified the topics represented in this edition. All articles were written strictly from primary source data (no press releases, no third-party opinion), and the faculty who presented these data reviewed and commented on the resulting articles. The articles underwent a rigorous, 5-step peer-review process to ensure accuracy and reliability. Finally, an independent board of experts carefully peer reviewed the content to ensure accuracy and a balanced perspective.
We hope you enjoy this edition of MD Conference Express and find it useful for your practice. We welcome your thoughts on this new initiative and hope you will plan to join us in Austin, Texas, for CNW 2016, January 16 to 19, 2016. You can learn more about A.S.P.E.N.’s initiatives, publications, membership, CNW, and more at www.nutritioncare.org.
