AB  - The new American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology valvular heart disease guideline outlines approaches for quantification of valvular disease severity. Stage identification is key to determining severity, intervention, and prognosis. Surgical management is expanded to a subset of asymptomatic severe aortic stenosis, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement is increasingly recommended for higher-risk patients.
