Furthermore, it is more effective than fluconazole for preventing recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis infections, particularly at its mid- and high doses, according to results from a phase 2 dose-ranging study. VT-1161 is now being evaluated in patients with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis in the REVIVE trial.
