AB  - The Strategic Cardiac Hajj Intervention Program (SCHIP) in Saudi Arabia has reduced the incidence of cardiovascular mortality during the Hajj when the population temporarily swells. Through SCHIP, the size of the cardiac care teams increased substantially, and they became available 24 hours a day with constant access to catheterization laboratories.
