AB  - The SMAN-PAF trial reveals that linear ablation in addition to pulmonary vein isolation does not decrease the rate of atrial fibrillation recurrence, while the HeartLight study demonstrates noninferiority of efficacy and safety with pulmonary vein isolation using visually guided laser balloon catheter when compared with irrigated radiofrequency ablation.
