Summary

The Glutox Trial examined the role of gluten in responders to a gluten-free diet, wherein they were challenged with gluten or placebo, followed by crossover. Reactors to the gluten challenge were presumed to have nonceliac gluten sensitivity, and those who responded to the gluten-free diet who did not react to challenge may be sensitive to other dietary components.
