AB  - Analysis of over 45 000 Medicare beneficiaries revealed that patients who adhere well to high-intensity statins or low-/moderate-intensity statins have fewer recurrences of myocardial infarction, fewer hospitalizations due to cardiovascular disease, and fewer all-cause mortalitites. The reality, however, is that down-titration or discontinuation of high-intensity statins following hospital discharge is common.
