Summary

This article discusses the increasing global burden of cardiovascular disease and highlights key risk factors in Asia in particular. It also discusses some important interventions that have been initiated in order to reach the World Heart Federation’s goal of a 25% reduction in premature deaths from cardiovascular disease by 2025.
