Summary

This article discusses data on the effects of neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) and chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in patients undergoing surgery for gastroesophageal cancer. Evidence on the ways to improve morbidity and mortality associated with esophagectomy is also reviewed.
